Thanks to both of you for doing a great job with the book club!

I haven't cared for music any more. I, the great friend of music, can no longer listen to it. I see through all the tricks and can't enjoy it anymore

Feel like I kind of understand and agree with this. Not sure if that may be a good or a bad thing sometimes. It's truly amazing what you can learn to understand with your own understanding.

There has been mention of Christ, Heaven, Hell, Devil and what not. Heaven and Hell may be nothing more than head and heel. Christ is not a person, but much more to the like of a high vibration. "Christ" & "Allah" are from kryst-la, which resembles one of the original music scales. Not sure exactly what Joyce's understand and message is sometimes in the never ending challenging riddles of stories. But see some of these great life long mysteries reflecting in his works much like that as that of the works he references to which again amazing.
