Slaughterhouse-Five, Kurt Vonnegut. First Edition.

Kurt Vonnegut probably needs no introduction. His career spanned over 50 years, and included 14 novels, three short story collections, five plays, and five works of non-fiction. His writing his wryly satirical, often using postmodern techniques and fantasy to highlight the horrors and ironies of 20th century life. Slaughterhouse-Five, published in 1969, is his best known and best selling work, and, with its anti-war and deeply human message, continues to resonate.

Kurt Vonnegut's absurdist classic Slaughterhouse-Five introduces us to Billy Pilgrim, a man who becomes 'unstuck in time' after he is abducted by aliens from the planet Tralfamadore. In a plot-scrambling display of virtuosity, we follow Pilgrim simultaneously through all phases of his life, concentrating on his (and Vonnegut's) shattering experience as an American prisoner of war who witnesses the firebombing of Dresden. It's an important and enduring work. This is the first printing:
