My (Perverted) Social Experiment: Do Boobs = More Engagement?
Can boobs really help a woman get ahead? Can ample cleavage garner the attention she craves? Stay tuned... my new profile pic is the litmus test :-P
Since I won't be posting boob pics often, or ever after this one - it's totally false advertising and has nothing to do with what I talk about on here whatsoever. I'm probably never gonna bring it up again.
But...just curious to see, if it does anything at all. Cause...it's Steemit and I can !

It is dumb as hell, but I gotta keep myself amused haha. I'll probably have a better idea after a week - it definitely got me comments. (My bar for 'success' is low as I abandoned this account for months, which is basically like starting from scratch)

Ahhh...that's sweet. I'm in an ok place in life - happily partnered up and soon to have a baby, no self esteem issues ;-) Really just doing this to see. I was a polisci/anthro major - you gotta expect these kind of stunts from someone who paid to get a degree in anthropology LOL
yeah, just for the case, is like i'm seeing something should not be and want to try fix it, but i don't pay attention if is real or whatever just leave a comment to make in others consideration, don't see you like a person of that kind... well actually, i can't see your face :v

Honestly yes LOL. Compared to everything else thus far (since my return I mean) My BF asked if he will get a lot of likes if he posts his boy bits...I told him to go ahead and see haha. And thank you on the writing :-)
Honestly though, you don't really want the people who just add you for posting boobies. Some of the "girls" (some of them may not be real) who post those pictures consistently while putting out long posts about some generic topic do well because they give people an excuse to indulge without feeling too shallow. Maybe that will be you. But leaving good comments is the best way to gain good followers. If you want to do both, govfor it! Haha
Oh - that we're having this discussion is something. If I changed my profile to say...a close up on a dude's pec muscle, would it be the same? Would there be any concern - or would it just be funny or whatever...
It's interesting how we respond to women's bodies vs men's ...nothing that hasn't been explored in 100,000 college papers and studies, but one that fascinates me still.
Yup. 100%. No that's not gonna be me, I promise, I'm not switching to the porn category or anything...this is just a quirky curiosity to see if there's more engagement (not necessarily followers - totally do not want the porn pic collector crowd! Nothing against them...we all have our things...but not what I want this account to be about :-P)
I think you said it well...its about giving people an excuse to engage without feeling to shallow. Think of advertising - models in red lipstick and push up bras seductively gorging on hamburgers...or actually, something more subtle - women in media often dye their hair blonde and ratings go up (ok...I don't know how 'often' - but I read something on that and I'll dig it up later lol).
I'm gonna go the both route for 30ish days (if I disappear in that time, baby is born and I'm busy with that stuff haha).
My theory is that engagement will go up - it will be a subconscious trigger (like the person who never commented on here but did when he saw this post). I could actually be totally wrong - because like you pointed out...there are females (at least alleged females) on here posting sexy pics on a daily basis, and my content will basically stay the same - aside from my profile pic...so who knows.
Social experiment. Maybe I'll do it with a dude's hairy chest next.
I've definitely fallen back into spending a lot of time on Steemit - (blame the holidays)...but like my music collection, I keep circling to the same blogs - though am trying to branch out because there are so many awesome content creators on here - finding them isn't always easy!
I'm all for hairy chests. You could turn your who,e account into steemit social experiments. Teasing certain whales, kissing certain asses and then exposing it as a social experiment.
Some might say our whole lives are social experiments....(totally open for whales to tease...taking suggests lol)
