Non-fungible token sales dip by 14% amid 38% increase in transactions

in #boldslast year

Sales of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are still growing, albeit slowly. However, that growth has slowed significantly in recent weeks.

According to CryptoCompare data, NFT sales accounted for 38% of all token sales in Q2 2019, up from just 16% in Q1 2019. More than $14 billion of NFTs were sold in the market in Q2 2019. This is more than double what it was in 2019. In the first quarter of 2019.

But now is also not a good time for investors to buy non-fungible tokens. This is because some popular NFTs, such as Decentraland's MANA token and Veritaseum's VERI token, have shown significant price drops.

MANA's price fell from about $0.25 in early July to just $0.12 a month later in August. And Veritaseum's VERI token fell from about $0.60 at some point in July to about $0.30 a month later in August, a drop of 48%.
