25th of April bridge

Have a look at this huge - or some might say Yuge! - container ship going underneath the 25 de Abril bridge.

Yes, the bridge looks very much like the one in San Francisco.

The bridge is named after the date of the revolution in Portugal.

Until 1974, the bridge was named Ponte Salazar, named by the dictator who was ruling the country before the revolution.

Anyhow, from any angle it looks like the boat could never pass under that bridge.

But the boat did fit under the bridge, but barely:
