Check out Blurt's 10 biggest manual curators!
This is a list of Blurt's top 10 active manual organic curators, by amount paid out (and earned) through curation.
How it was calculated
Manual curation is voting on content by a person (not software). Organic curation is based on the content (not the creator). Active means regularly voting on content.
Thus, "active manual organic curators" are accounts operated by humans currently voting on content for its own merit. It excludes bots, voting services, and those who primarily vote for themselves or a closed group ("farmers" and "jerkers"). Group accounts and curation projects are eligible to appear on the list.
Since there is no published data on this, I used the tool created by @ecosynthesizer to sort all Blurt accounts by BP. Next, I listed them by "Vote Weight", which is their Blurt Power plus delegated BP coming in, minus delegated BP going out.
Then, to narrow the list to the intended field, I removed all accounts known to be bots, voting services, farmers, or jerkers.
Final Results
Vote Weight is shown in thousands of BLURT.
1.) @beblurt - 6615
2.) @ecosynthesizer - 4731
3.) @sagarkothari88 - 4101
4.) @saboin - 3988
5.) @curationcoconut - 2563
6.) @leifasaur - 2556
7.) @blurtpower - 1942
8.) @elkezaksek - 1846
9.) @outofthematrix - 1802
10.) @blurtlatam - 1375
As of 16 Oct 2024, those are the 10 accounts manually drawing the largest amounts from the Blurt reward pool! (Note: If you know of any account on the list that shouldn't be there, or should be there but isn't, please let me know and I'll make an update.)
I did not account for Voting Power (other than by excluding accounts regularly sitting at 100% VP), since we now know that Voting Power does not affect total votes or rewards.
Honourable mentions:
11.) @dsc-r2cornell - 1230
12.) @drutter -1177
13.) @kryptodenno - 1030
14.) @world-travel-pro - 1025
People who split their BP over multiple accounts are tallied separately. This results in a lower position on the list than they would have if they curated from a single account, but doesn't diminish the significance of their contributions.
It is not possible to correctly place the mega-whale accounts @mmmmkkkk311 and @ctime on this list, in part because they split their BP over multiple accounts, and also because they are not entirely manual curation accounts. If they did place on the list, it would be at the #1 spot, and miles ahead of anyone else.
Change from last update
I last tabulated this list back in December.
Beblurt has remained the top manual curator on this platform. Congratulations and thank you, Beblurt!
Ecosynthesizer, curationcoconut, blurtpower, outofthematrix, drutter, elkezaksek, and kryptodenno jockeyed their relative positions as they added between 10% and 30% to their VW. Saboin has powered down and lost a couple positions as a result. Leifasaur and Sagarkothari88 are new (they did not appear on the previous list). Randula fell off this update.
I hope you found this useful and interesting. Now go out there and create high-quality original content, and hope you're visited by the above excellent curators!
I'm honoured to rub shoulders with such all-stars of manual voting. Without curation, there are no payouts on this blockchain. No curation, no Blurt! So these people are not only Blurt's investors, they are the ones keeping the platform running, the ones drawing in and maintaining content-creators, the ones giving the BLURT token value.
Also, I want to thank you for your contributions. Everyone on Blurt is a participant, and all participation on Blurt has an impact.
