7 HE NEVER TAKES HIS EYES OFF THE INNOCENT, but he sets them on thrones with kings and exalts them forever.
8 IF THEY ARE BOUND IN CHAINS AND CAUGHT UP IN A WEB OF TROUBLE,
9 HE SHOWS THEM THE REASON. HE SHOWS THEM THEIR SINS OF PRIDE.
10 HE GETS THEIR ATTENTION AND COMMANDS THAT THEY TURN FROM EVIL.
11 “IF THEY LISTEN AND OBEY GOD, THEY WILL BE BLESSED WITH PROSPERITY THROUGHOUT THEIR LIVES. ALL THEIR YEARS WILL BE PLEASANT.
12 BUT IF THEY REFUSE TO LISTEN TO HIM, THEY WILL CROSS OVER THE RIVER OF DEATH." DYING FROM LACK OF UNDERSTANDING."
Job 36:7-12 (NLT)

• No one is justified by the self righteousness. Your good deeds are not enough (Isaiah 64:6).

  • When something happens to you, do not be complaining and be asking God, Why did it happen?
  • It is okay to ask why the problem is permitted for you to know if there is any wrong which God wanted you to right. However, It is not right to query God, saying what have I done to deserve it.
  • A challenge or predicament might be meant to call your attention to an error, or a character defect, in your life; or to halt or stop you on what you are about to embark on which God does not want or approve:
8 IF THEY ARE BOUND IN CHAINS AND CAUGHT UP IN A WEB OF TROUBLE,
9 HE SHOWS THEM THE REASON. HE SHOWS THEM THEIR SINS OF PRIDE" (Job 36:8,9 NKJV).
  • Do not consider that you are right, thinking in your heart that God is unfaithful. You cannot be faithful than God. God is always right!

• In some instances, God uses challenges, problems, and unpalatable experiences to show a believer that he or she has erred—the path they are toeing is not approved by God: "HE GETS THEIR ATTENTION AND COMMANDS THAT THEY TURN FROM EVIL" (Job 36:10 NKJV).

  • If there is a character defect in your life, as a believer, God might permit a challenge, or an unpleasant situation, to correct the defect: "HE SHOWS THEM THE REASON. HE SHOWS THEM THEIR SINS OF PRIDE" (Job 36:9 NLT).
  • God would always want to Humble a proud soul. If you think you have not done any wrong, Yet God permitted the trouble, you would have to check your life, He might want to correct the defects in your life that are hidden to you or not known by you.
  • If you wanted to know, God will reveal it to you; there is always a reason for whatever the challenge or predicament or Affliction permitted to come your way.
  • Every problem or affliction usually contains a message to the person, the believer, who is passing through it. The message is always encased in a problem!
  • In some cases, If you could not discern or know the message being passed across to you through the affliction or predicament, you may stay long in it.
  • Thus, always ask the Holy Spirit to open your understanding in order to see what actually happened that made such a thing to be permitted in your life. Remember, you want to know It, that you might right the wrong, and that such a thing would not be repeated again.

• God expected every believer to understand this; His language, or how He speaks to His own, in their walk with Him:
4 AND WHEN HE BRINGS OUT HIS OWN SHEEP, HE GOES BEFORE THEM; AND THE SHEEP FOLLOW HIM, FOR THEY KNOW HIS VOICE. 5 YET THEY WILL BY NO MEANS FOLLOW A STRANGER, BUT WILL FLEE FROM HIM, FOR THEY DO NOT KNOW THE VOICE OF STRANGERS” (John 10:4,5 NKJV).

  • You as a believer should be able to discern His message being sent or passed across to you.
  • Thus, If your relationship and fellowship with God are cordial, you would know If you had missed it. You may lose your peace as a sign for it!
  • Although, you may not actually know what has gone wrong, but you would know something is wrong. At such a time, pray in the Spirit, the Holy Spirit will give you a witness in your heart where you actually have missed it.
  • Do not claim to be innocent (1 John 1:8). And do not be angry with God (James 1:13), saying, Why did He permit the affliction to happen in your life?
  • Note:
    a. Take a step to right the wrong you made—correct your mistake.
    b. Know that what has happened to you is a training. God has a purpose for the life of every individual believer. Thus, He is building and training you for the purpose or assignment He has for you.
    c. God usually builds or trains based on what His, God's, purpose for the person in question is.
    d. What attracts discipline or chastisement in your own training, in the School of the Spirit, might not in another person's training.
    e. You should not fail to understand that serving God and relating with Him is largely based on the individual's assignment on earth.
  • In some cases, you might think God is partial in His walk with you, as par how He handles your case or situation; but He is not. He is only dealing with you based on what you are designed; or being prepared or equipped, to do.
  • God is not partial, He is training you for the fulfilment of a particular purpose!

• If you are patient and cooperate with God, you would come to see what He wanted to bring out of your life and the reason why He has permitted all you have gone through.

  • If you allowed God to mould and shape you, you would be an honourable vessel: "THEREFORE IF ANYONE CLEANSES HIMSELF FROM THE LATTER, HE WILL BE A VESSEL FOR HONOUR, SANCTIFIED AND USEFUL FOR THE MASTER, PREPARED FOR EVERY GOOD WORK" (2 Timothy 2:21 NKJV).
  • If you allowed God, by cooperating with Him, these would happen:
11 IF THEY [you] OBEY AND SERVE HIM, THEY [you] SHALL SPEND THEIR [your] DAYS IN PROSPERITY, AND THEIR [your] YEARS IN PLEASURES. 12 BUT IF THEY DO NOT OBEY, THEY SHALL PERISH BY THE SWORD, AND THEY SHALL DIE WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE" (Job 36:11,12 NKJV).

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.

  • Should there be any ailment in your body, receive your healing now in Jesus' name.
  • Hold of infirmities is completely broken in your life in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
    Peace!

STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. As you took the steps A and B your name is written in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).

  • If you took the steps As highlighted above, congratulations, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!
