GOD'S PATTERN OR STRATEGY

20 WHEN the people heard the sound of the rams’ horns, THEY SHOUTED AS LOUD AS THEY COULD. SUDDENLY, THE WALLS OF JERICHO COLLAPSED, AND THE ISRAELITES CHARGED STRAIGHT INTO THE TOWN AND CAPTURED IT.
21 They completely destroyed everything in it with their swords—men and women, young and old, cattle, sheep, goats, and donkeys."
Joshua 6:20,21 (NLT)

• The Israelites completely destroyed everything in it—the City of Jericho. The land of Jericho was mainly taken by God, not by the Israelites. The angels of God, who could not be seen with physical eyes, were the ones who pulled down the walls of Jericho (Psalm 44:3).

• Joshua's success on Jericho is all about following God's instructions to the letter. Every instruction given you, as a believer in Christ Jesus, by God, is a command and such should be taken seriously.
• Your land of inheritance can only be gotten through the strategies given you by God. Joshua did not argue with God about the instructions given him, on how to get the land which God had promised them.
  THE instruction given them was to march round the city for seven days (Joshua 6:3-5).
• What God had instructed you to do might not be logical or reasonable, obey anyway. Joshua could have argued with God, reasoned Him out of the matter; thinking the strategies, plans or methods, given by Him would not work (Joshua 6:3-5,11-16).
• Stop arguing with God! He knows more than you do. In fact, in every affair of a believer's life, God is the One who does the work; He could only use the believer as a front. And, a believer who's submission is total will allow God to work and also permit Him to use him or her as a front. You will vacate the driver's seat and allow Him, God, to drive the affairs of your life.

• God has given us authority over the unseen forces of darkness (Luke 10:19). However, you need to equip yourself with the Word of God, prayers and fastings.

• The authority you have in Christ Jesus is activated through the knowledge of the Word of God, prayers and fastings.
• There is a place of fasting in dealing with opposition. When you fast, your flesh is subdued and your spirit, the inward man, is taken higher—It gains ascendancy:
  a. You become more sensitive to the things of the Spirit.
  b. Your discerning ability is sharpened.
• When confronting the kingdom of darkness, you do not have to talk, or let out the vital informations about your life (Proverbs 21:23). The things you are doing had to be kept confidential, pray the more and keep on with your work—the assignment (Nehemiah 6:2-4).
• God said the Israelites should not talk or shout until that seventh day, when they heard the sound of the trumpets (Joshua 6:3-5,15,16).
• To overcome in spiritual battles, you had to learn to discipline yourself in talking. Do not reveal that which God had told you to the devil and all his agents, through your inability to keep confidentially things He wanted to do through your life and ministry (Proverbs 13:3).
• Keep your tongue: "HE WHO HAS KNOWLEDGE SPARES HIS WORDS, AND A MAN OF UNDERSTANDING IS OF A CALM SPIRIT" (Proverbs 17:27 NKJV).
• The devil works with information. The Informations gotten from you are the things which the enemy, the devil, would want to use against you. Some have been victims of evil because of indiscipline in talking: "THE MOUTHS OF FOOLS ARE THEIR RUIN; THEY TRAP THEMSELVES WITH THEIR LIPS" (Proverbs 18:7 NLT).

• What to do:
a. Fast and pray often, and grow in it. Always take a time out of your busy schedule to pray regularly.
b. Stay in the presence of God for an extended period of time—to seek His face and fellowship with Him.
c. Be flexible and bendy in God's hand. That is, be willing to agree with whatever He wanted to do in your life or through your life. Be quick to respond and do His Will, any day and anytime.
d. Study the Word of God and meditate or ponder on it daily; and it should not depart from your mouth (Joshua 1:8).

• The Scripture says the walls of Jericho collapsed suddenly. It happened as God said It would be. But If the Israelites did not follow the instructions given to them by God, they could not have overcome and taken the land.

• Your land of inheritance has a strategy that is mapped out by God through which you would take it. Thus, you would have to get the strategies from God that you may posses your possession.

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.

• Healing is your covenant right in Christ Jesus, as a believer in Him, therefore, whatever is contrary to your health is therefore rebuked and uprooted in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
• The hold that is broken now will never rise again in your life in Jesus' name.

STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. Ask that He will write your name in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).
