What does the Autumn mean to you?
In my part of Canada (yes it is MINE!) we are blessed with good periods of all 4 seasons. Winter is a little too long in my opinion and the summer could be longer but I find a way to enjoy all seasons.
Winter - This is hockey, skiing, and general outdoor enjoyment like you were still a kid. Kids make it easier to get out and have fun as well.
Spring - you get a little winter leftover activity but start to plan the summer and start to enjoy the nature coming alive again.
Summer - This is some bad skidooing but awesome sailing, camping, and adventuring.

- Autumn - Many around here start their hibernation and forget that there is still so much warm weather left! Hockey watching season starts, The Walking Dead and other series I watch return, and the colours really start to pop. It has not started yet but I will try and snap a few pics of the glory as it unfolds for future posts.
As it is now, we are in a little bit of limbo with some corn still in the fields. I do love the cool in the air. While I am not looking forward to climbing ladders in the winter, I will enjoy this as it is now!
Autum in Upstate New York is breath taking. The foliage has not started to change color yet, but when it does it is spectacular. Fall is my favorite season even if winter does follow. Will post some pics when the splendor commences.
For sure. Ontario is New York's hat so we get the same thing. We will have to do some photo collaboration posts to show these warm blood the splendor of the north.
Have some wonderful views from areas on the farm. will share. Just got back from Pennsylvania visiting my daughter. I think the love on good beer is a genetic trait passed onto all of my kids, as she took us to a resturant/brewery called the Old Forge. Great burgers and better brew. Had a couple of Flights. In the states a flight is basically 5oz of beer in 4 different glasses. Tried three different IPA's. Also asked the owner if I could snap a couple of pictures of the place and he gladly obliged. Should make for a good post.

Just another kind of exercise! Nah you are right it can suck. It takes a few months in a row of it to get on my nerves though.
Winter wonderland!
It's depressing knowing summer is over and winter is coming. It's only gonna get colder and colder. I hate cold weather. Anything below 60 is hell to me. The only positive is there's no mosquitos. Early fall is a nice relief from the extreme summer heat, and it is harvest season, and the trees changing colors plus Halloween is always cool!
You are kinda like my better half. She has Mediterranean blood and I think the cold actually causes her pain. We never really get the summer heat too bad for too long and have air conditioning so it is nothing.
Mosquitoes were insane this year I hear but it is the damn house flies and fruit flies I can do without.
The fall means thanksgiving, Halloween, new beginnings as it is the beginning of the new school year each year, and it is about the transition towards Christmas which I love so much. Thanks. Upvoted.
Yah the school year is good to get into a regular schedule again and Halloween is fun if you make it. I too love christmas as I enjoy buying things for others and the time off with family. Not that I am not in corporate sales, it is no longer a stressful year end either which makes it enjoyable. Plus there is the World Junior hockey championships which I love to watch.
But, for now, I will relish the limbo between too hot and too cold.
