Assassin's Creed: Rebellion: Overview
The latest mobile games Ubisoft have become quite good entertainment for me, capable of delaying for a long time. And Rayman Adventures turned out great, and the South Park: Phone Destroyer card. So Assassin’s Creed: Rebellion, in my opinion, was a success. Ubisoft obviously didn’t want to hurry with the release - in the Philippines the game became available almost a year and a half ago, but only now reached the rest of the regions. During this time, it was so stuffed with content that at first all of these buttons and features are very confusing, but then, when you figure it out, it will be difficult to break away.
Assassins Refuge
Rebellion can be divided into two components. The first resembles a simplified version of Fallout Shelter: you get headquarters (which, as it later turns out, includes several buildings), raise the Brotherhood level and with each new level you can either turn empty rooms into forges, bedrooms, warehouses, training halls and more. , or upgrade them and unlock bonus options. For example, instead of weak swords and hidden blades, you will start forging more powerful weapons.
Another important part of the game is a kind of tactical platformer. Before starting, you collect a detachment of three assassins, checking their specialization with a description of the mission. Developers carefully warn about which heroes are best to take: it can be experienced warriors in the melee, masters of secretive murders and skilled crackers, neutralizing traps. At the beginning of the mission, all three assassins are in the first room, from which there can be one or two exits, and only one character will allow to enter the next room. Then, when all things are done, you again need to choose the most suitable assassin for the next zone, and so on.
Here you have to decide, pass to the next door covertly, without touching anyone at all, hide behind cover and quietly kill everyone with a hidden blade or rush out to the center of the room and fight with swords. In the first two cases, there is a chance to go astray and not jump to the desired design or attract the attention of the enemy before you kill him. The chance of success is always written above the opponent’s head or near the corresponding object — perhaps it is better to sit behind cover, and not to come close, if in the first case the probability of failure is lower.
Levels do not take too much time and do not tire. It would be great if the automatic transmission button worked correctly, but it seemed to be intentionally rendered useless - as if the assassins were selected at random, therefore the hero swinging the sword usually suddenly begins to disarm the trap with a chance of success at 14%. But then, when the level is completed by three stars (for this you need to leave all the assassins alive until the end of the mission, which is not so difficult), the “Blitz” mode is unlocked for each completed task - you can send selected characters there and see the result in a second their actions.
This should be done for several reasons. First, for all the missions are awarded all sorts of awards, including wood, metal and other resources to create equipment. Secondly, it is possible to get materials for training assassins and improving their characteristics for them - the stronger they are, the easier it will be to complete the tasks. Well, even among the prizes come across DNA fragments, allowing you to unlock new assassins, when the right amount of fragments will be detected. You can choose the desired character and follow what levels can give his DNA to focus attention on them.
Micromanagement
As a result, the gameplay combines so many elements that at first half of them either do not notice or leave for later. But after a few hours, everything becomes as clear as possible. For all assassins, it is desirable to create the appropriate armor and weapons, with increasing levels of characters should be sent to training, in case of lack of resources, you assemble a detachment and complete the "Blitz" in the respective missions. Despite the large number of timers, they do not interfere much - for example, by sending the hero to headquarters for training, you can continue to take him on assignments without losing time and not waiting for 15 minutes when he becomes stronger.
In addition, Rebellion actively encourages those who spend a lot of time in it: there are daily tasks, and all sorts of temporary events. For a few days, you may be asked to eliminate a couple of hundred opponents, for which they will generously bestow a large amount of paid currency. The task is not difficult, so do it in joy. There was also an “event” with missions in ancient Greece, where you could get the DNA fragments of Alexios and Cassandra from Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey. But for such events it is better to be at least a little prepared, and not to go there as soon as possible.
Paid currency is used to buy DNA cubes with fragments contained in them - in other words, to get new heroes more quickly. And sometimes the game insists too strongly that you pour real money into it. You open one menu - in front of it comes an advertisement about cubes with mercenaries spearmen at half price. You move to another - there is a unique action with Helix credits for mere pennies. For 699 rubles per month it is proposed to subscribe, which increases the rewards for daily entry and tasks, but the bonuses do not look very attractive.
The game itself does not require investments - to launch missions, information is used that is restored for a relatively long time in the headquarters. That is, a few hours in a row will not work, but this is true for almost any shareware game - at some point they are all forced to wait for the restoration of energy. But here this time can be spent on the creation of equipment, the distribution of assassins in the rooms (the treasury will not bring free money without a hero assigned to it) and character training.
Assassin’s Creed: I don’t get bored with Rebellion personally. It’s literally to collect pieces of additional assassins, open every four hours free cubes, put on new armor and hand each newly forged swords and blades very exciting. Temporary events with unique characters also seem interesting - in them even the locations change according to the era. But the menu about paid goods is a bit tiring - they don’t bring down the mood very much, but constantly reach for the cross that is closing them a little. Although at some point they stop getting out and let them have fun without any extra reminders about the game distribution model.
Pros: nice visual style; fun missions with a touch of tactics; various characters - both externally and in terms of skills; for the passage is not required to pour a lot of money, at least from the timers and nowhere to go.
Cons: often get out ads with goods from the in-game store; a bit confusing interface.
