Door to door Steemit saleman
I really don't mean to do it, but....
I spend so much time involved on Steemit working on posts and even more time engaging in comments and working within discord building relationships that are making a huge impact in my overall experience. I work for many hours a day and sometimes watch the sun come up in the midst of a great conversation discussing a post or Steemit in general. Now this is all fine but when I have to go into the world it's very hard to contain my excitement especially when dealing with creative individuals that I think could bring something to this platform and they are posting elsewhere and really going no where by doing so. Now it doesn't just stop there because I will talk to anyone willing to listen and drone on for as long as they will allow it. I hate to be this guy but honestly, why don't more people speak Steemian?
Have you found yourself talking to people about how great this platform is and when they ask for details you see their eyes go blank and you realize you are speaking a foreign language? I do.
"What do you mean SBD, Steem, and SP? Where does the money come from? What do upvotes do? Who decides on how much of a reward each post gets? Is it hard to do? How do you get your money? Do you think they will like me?"
These are really important and valid questions but can the explanations we give really sink in? No, they can't. I went to get my haircut today and had a late appointment at a gals house that I barter haircuts from and she really likes the whole Burning Man scene, In fact she brings it home with her every year and returns the next year for refills. I would not shut up about Steemit the whole time and I am sure some of it was sinking in but by the end of the haircut she signed up, I think this was just to get me to shut up and leave but that's OK. It is going to take a lot of work to recruit new people to this platform and help it grow and I think each of us holds a personal responsibility to make this happen. I have some ideas on what to do after you've closed the deal.
- While you are waiting the 2 week waiting period invite them to the house and have a few Steemit sessions so they will have an idea of what to do when they start
- Have them set a little money aside in the next few weeks if they are able in case they decide to invest right away. Maybe even help them set up a coinbase account so that is ready as well.
- Have them start reading some post and get a feel for how the platform works and how to spot quality content and meaniful engagement.
- Tell them don't get too excited to see big rewards instead be prepared to earn nothing, like you are earning now for posting on other platforms. With hard work we can all make it together, including them.
- Encourage them to start thinking of ideas they would like to write about for their introduction post and show them how to find some to browse through.
Invite them over and try and help them before they come on the site and start their blog to give them a smooth start. Treat the two week waiting period the same as if they had a waiting period for buying a gun. You wouldn't want someone you love buying a gun and picking it up and just go out shooting without knowing anything about guns would you? I treat this platform very seriously and I think along with encouragement for people to come here we should show them the Steemit ways and it would be very helpful to everyone. I found this platform by accident and would have loved a little help in the start.
We are a community of caring individuals with a real passion for change and I feel it's a brave step for anyone to leave facebook as they see it, moving out of our comfort zones can have a long term benefit especially when making changes like this and they will need all the help they can get. I can't even begin to tell you how much my experience here changed when I found the discord and groups like @Minnowsupport & @Helpie to learn from and share ideas. I think by providing new users with some guidance is a great thing especially with a two week waiting period involved that gives an opportunity for some training. I hope that this blog helps you in being a door to door Steemit salesperson. Thank You for your continued support.
@Vladivostok
@Vladivostok hello 👋 sir Wow great post, Many many thanks for the great information. I liked your post. I think in Steemit today we came to learn a lot of things. Steemit is a place for our education, where we can experience different types of experiences. Steemit will have to work at the time. Otherwise, what will the income of steemit do?
Oh man...You hit so many nails on the head you need to grab a few more hammers for your next post!
Yeah it's kinda painful when you want stuff for peeps more than they want it themselves...When dealing with people I will see many times, friends, colleagues etc...I use the drip drip drip technique. I even act a little mysterious about it...enigmatic mystery creating technique 😁
I have a colleague from work here just because of me talking about it and checking my phone at each work-break.
We literally talk about nothing else but the blockchain at work nowadays...It is cool to have real life friends who actually get it!
Loving the home-based Steem sessions idea...Now that is mentoring! what a way for peeps to get off to the best possible start.
Love your community-vibe man, that's exactly what I'm here for, may the journey be absolutely incredible 😁
Steemit is far good than facebook or any social media
Hmm. Just joined. Lets see how it goes !
Welcome, join my discord and ask questions if you want
I see you are supporting me :) and @margarita-de
I love her blog :)
Ofcourse ofcourse ;)
I hope you got a nice haircut. You are exactly right about that strange feeling. It feels like I am from another planet while talking about Steemit to the people around me . How cool would it be if they introduce chat option in Steemit or eSteem. I think there are lot of things need to be done here, and they will be done by all these developers. I say we are still early adopters.
Think about facebook in 2006 and facebook in 2018. There is a huge difference in terms of number of people. Steem may reach at least 25 million active people by the end of 2020 and it is quite practical number. Yes, Steem is future.
great work bro @vladivostok

steem is best one for other social media site
Steam is a great place to work, but it was not so popular among Asian people as they are more familiar with Facebook. And of course, as a newbie, I too find it little confusing and faced difficulty particularly making the community as because where I am living no one aware about it and not interested. Because it depends on the cryptocurrency and the market is volatile.
