The real most interesting man in the world...

"All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy."- The Shining

Word of the day: matrix- an environment or material in which something develops; a surrounding medium or structure.

1. Marvel Whiteside Parsons: A fascinating human who once occupied our planet

Born with the name Marvel you have two options live up to the name or wake up miserable everyday knowing you're not a wonderful and astonishing person. Marvel Parsons, later known as Jack Parsons lived up to the name. They seemed to have called everyone Jack back then. Simpler times, I'd like to live in a gated community where everyone's name is Jack.

The name Marvel would suck to have on a daily basis, but from a historical perspective it's awesome. Marvel became a true Marvel. Marvel comics was formed in 1939, but no sadly no relation to Jack.

A rocket man who could cook up chemicals and loved his fair share of cults. A guy you definitely want to spend an evening with, both platonically and sexually.

"In 1952 Parsons died at the age of 37 in a home laboratory explosion that attracted national media attention; the police ruled it an accident, but many associates suspected suicide or murder."-Wikipedia

"His FBI file described him as "potentially bisexual" and he once expressed experiencing a latent homosexuality."-Wikipedia

I love the fact that this guy experimented with a little bit of everything: rockets, chemistry, occult rituals, archery, fencing, and his sexuality.

"He was also known for personal eccentricity such as greeting house guests with a large pet snake around his neck, driving to work in a rundown Pontiac, and using a mannequin dressed in a tuxedo with a bucket labelled "The Resident" as his mailbox.[30][167"-Wikipedia

2. Alien Hand Syndrome (Wikipedia)

"Alien hand syndrome (AHS) or Dr. Strangelove syndrome[1] is a condition in which a person experiences their limbs acting seemingly on their own, without control over the actions.[2]"-Wikipedia

This is terrifying. Imagine having to battle your own hand. The left hand is the more common one to go haywire. I still can't believe this is a real thing.

"For example, Doody and Jankovic described a patient who named her alien hand "baby Joseph". When the hand engaged in playful, troublesome activities such as pinching her nipples (akin to biting while nursing), she would experience amusement and would instruct baby Joseph to "stop being naughty".[13]"-Wikipedia

3. My thoughts on Incredibles 2

I rewatched this first one about 2 weeks ago. I thought it looked incredible considering it was made 14 years ago, but I didn't think it was that great. Today, I saw the second one and once again I don't understand the hype. Both movies are beautiful to watch, but the story lines are extremely weak. I get that it is a kids movie, but it has a more mature tone than most kids movies so maybe that's why I expect more. Also, the only parts that were genuinely entertaining in the second movie were when the baby Jack-Jack went nuts. The rest of the movie was rather mediocre. I felt this personally, but the rest of the theater I was in mainly laughed at those parts too.
