Blogging is a website containing a writer's or group of writers' own experiences, observations, opinions, etc., and often having images and links to other websites.

Ways of being an exceptional blogger.

1. Blogging requires a great deal of time.

It needs to be updated regularly. The Internet is littered with abandoned blogs that haven't been updated in months or even years. The success of blogging comes from having people return, and they only return when there's new stuff to read. That means generating content at least several times a week, which takes time. This will help the people to keep interest in reading your blog since there is always updates. This will make them not to be bored due to consistency.

2. Find you’re passionate.

It’s important to ask yourself what you’re passionate about. Running? Cooking? Being a parent? Have you found your passion? If so, whatever it is, write about that. If not, then you must first find your passion. Don’t create a blog about something unless you have a unique perspective. If you’ve embraced simple living and have a unique perspective, then by all means have at it.

3. Find out who will be your reader. The ideal readers.

You need to know who will be reading your blog. If you want to write about your newborn baby growing up, that’s wonderful: your ideal readers are probably your friends and family. If you want to write about restoring classic cars, that’s cool, too. Tailor your writing to your readers (whether it’s your family or local community or whoever else will read your blog).

4. Your blog must add value to its readers’ lives.

This is the only way you will get Great Quality Readers to your site (and keep them coming back). Adding value is the only way to get someone’s long-term buy-in. as in if the readers read your post and learn something from them, then why would not they keep checking to learn more? Me too I would keep checking out on someone’s blog if I am learning something from it.

5.Be Original.

Yes, there are other blogs out there about the same thing you want to write about. It’s about your perspective, your creativity, the value that you add. This all counts to make one an extra ordinary blogger since very many people are writing exactly what you are writing about. So creativity is a very important key one shouldn’t leave out.

6.Be Interesting.

Write epic, awesome content. Especially if you want people to share it with others. Of course no one would like to share boring content. If it is interesting content then why wouldn’t I share it?

7.Be Yourself.

Telling your story is part of being interesting. Every person is unique, and your story is an important one that’s the important part of storytelling. Share your story and make it interesting.

8.Honesty.

Your blog needs to be authentic it needs to feel real if you want people to read it. “Be the change you want to see in the world,” is the famous Gandhi quote. Perhaps bloggers should build the blog they want to write for the world.

10.Posting time.

When is the best day and time to publish a blog post? You have to know when the intended readers are acive to read the post. I know not that all the intended readers are going to be online on the same time but try to estimate when its more appropriate to post.

11.Ignore Negative Criticism.

Sure, we get a lot of negative comments sometimes but the blogger doesn’t have to attend so much to it this make you lose your motivation. Actually when criticism comes one should attend to it like ‘positive criticism’ you know what I mean as in do not lose motivation if it’s true work on it and if it’s not true the just ignore it. Okay! This will help you to keep going on and making posts as time goes one will improve. Let criticisms not put you down.

12.Research.
Spend time researching what you’re writing about. Have every detail, visit different links find out all the details and know exactly what you want to write about so that incase of any questions one is able to answer the question confidently.

13.Keep It Simple.

This is where minimalism can be applied to starting any blog. Stick to the basics and remove anything you don’t need. Remove anything that doesn’t add value to the readers though keep it interesting.

14.Picture.

Put a picture on your blog to show its relevancy. You can as well choose to put the picture of yourself so that people can identify you no need to worry or you can choose an image suiting the topic one has written about. this makes the blog more interesting and more elaboration.
