1. Passage du Gois, France

This is a link road about 4.2 km and located on Atlantic Coast. It connects France to the Noirmoutier Island. This road goes through the Bay of Bourgneuf with water on both sides. It is flooded with water twice a day because of high tides. Therefore, the vehicles which pass through here, sometimes have to go through the water, which can be risky at times.

2. Patiopoulo-Perdikaki Road, Greece

Patiopoulo-Perdikaki is a hill road and is located in the northeastern part of Aetolia-Acarnania in Greece. The length of this path is 23.6 km, and it is full of deadly twists and turns. After every half a kilometer, the road turns, making driving that much more challenging. This also makes the road seem beautiful and yet it is quite deadly. A slight distraction can take your life as there is no railing to protect vehicles from falling off the edges.

3. Los Caracoles Pass, Chile

This road links with the ancient city of Luxor in southern Egypt and Hurghada. It is in such a remote area that if anybody is stuck here, then there is no help for them and chances of a terrorist attack is high. It's extremely dangerous with many fatal accidents occurring due to drivers not turning on their head lights. The reason of keeping their lights off is that if any bandits and terrorists patrol the roads, then they can shoot at the drivers. There is no any safety barrier either.

4. Zojila Pass, India

The Zojila Pass in India is one of the most dangerous roads out there at an elevation of 11,575 feet and situated in a region with high snowfall and rain. This road lies between Leh Ladakh in the Western Himalayan Ranges of India and Srinagar and serves as a lifeline for the people living in Ladakh as this is their only access to the rest of the world. A lot of times, during high snowfall, vehicles get trapped and are left stranded which is a very risky situation to be in.

The Karakoram highway links China and Pakistan at the Khunjerab Pass at an elevation of 4,693 meters. This road was made by cutting the mountain itself. There is a high risk of dense fog and snow storm in the region, and therefore this road is infamous for its deadly landslides and floods. But still, it is a tourist attraction. Due to high elevation, there is also a common problem of dizziness and vomiting with most people.

6. Tianmen Mountain Road, China

At 11 km in length and at an elevation of 1300 meters above sea level, this road comes with 99 turns which can be a tad too much even for the most experienced drivers. Taking your eyes off from the road even for a second can be really dangerous as the car could plunge down the slope in a matter of seconds. This is another example of the beautiful but deadly roads.

7. The Widow-maker, United Kingdom

An unusually named road, this is the deadliest one in Britain that claims thousands of lives each year. This road is also known as A537 and provides a link between Cheshire, Knutsford, Derbyshire, and Buxton. This road was also nominated as United Kingdom's most dangerous road by the Road Saftey Foundation, because of its 34 fatal accidents from 2006-2008. Many of the fatalities are motorcyclists, who come to enjoy the wide open space and natural scenes.

8. The Road From Jalalabad To Kabul, Afghanistan

All the roads have been named as most dangerous, but trust me guys this one is indeed the deadliest. This is a 65 km long highway located between Jalalabad and Kabul. This has claimed more lives than any other, and the major reason for this is the road passes through the Taliban territory. But it's not the biggest threat that makes this highway so dangerous. This highway is a combination of narrow, twisting lanes. Fatal crashes are a daily occurrence here.
