Random Thoughts, Musings and Directional Attitudes - Part 1steemCreated with Sketch.

Have you ever stopped and wondered for a second just how many people have died in the exact spot where you're standing? The world is thousands of years old, so you'd be highly obtuse not to think that, at one time, something has died in the spot you stand/sit at right now as you read this.

I used to live near a graveyard and pass by the gravestones daily. I always wondered how many memories are floating all through the air in that one spot—memories of loved ones and memories of times passed. While the body is merely a vessel, memories follow those who are left behind. Over time, those memories fade away like leaves on a soft Autumn day. The gravestones always served as a reminder of those memories to me.

I can recall a time when I was younger when you said goodbye to someone and might not talk to them again. Of course, at the time, we never thought of it that way; it just happened. Long-distance phone calls were expensive, email didn't exist, and not many people kept up with the mail enough to message and keep track of non-relatives. When I joined Facebook years ago, I can remember the onslaught of friend requests from people I hadn't spoken to since high school and college; it was wild. Technology solved that problem.
