DIVINE GARDENS
Songs 4:16: “Arise, Aquilón, and come, Austro; BLOW IN MY GARDEN, let off its aromas. Come my beloved to YOUR GARDEN, and eat its sweet fruit. "
In Genesis 2: 8 we are told that God “planted a garden in Eden, to the east; and there he put the man whom he had formed. John 19: 41-42 mentions that “in the place where (Jesus) had been crucified, there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb… and because that tomb was nearby, they laid Jesus”; however we are not going to talk about this type of garden, but about the people of God being compared to a garden.
Numbers 24: 5-6 describes it perfectly, when Balaam expressed: “How beautiful are your tents, O Jacob, your rooms, O Israel! Like streams they are spread out, LIKE ORCHARDS by the river, LIKE ALOES PLANTED BY JEHOVAH, LIKE CEDARS BY THE WATERS ”, so we are those trees planted in the garden of God, he has planted us in places of many waters, because the water it makes our roots perceive them and we can make them green.
Job 14: 7-9 states: “For if the tree is cut down, there is still hope of it; IT WILL RETURN still, YOUR RENEWALS WILL NOT BE MISSING. If its root grows old on the earth, and its trunk is dead in the dust, WHEN IT PERCEIVES THE WATER IT WILL GREEN, and it will make a cup like a new plant ”, that is, our God constantly waters us with the living water of his Holy Spirit That is why the psalmist says that we are like "a tree planted by streams of water" (Psalm 1: 3).
GARDEN CLOSED, SOURCE CLOSED AND SEALED
Songs 4:16 adds something else saying that it is a CLOSED GARDEN, and reinforces saying SOURCE CLOSED AND SEALED, implying that God's people should be preserved as a VIRGIN. Paul, in 2 Corinthians 11: 2 tells the church that he wants to present her "AS A PURE VIRGIN TO CHRIST", Jesus comes for a glorious church, that does not have spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but is "HOLY AND UNSPUBLISHED ”(Ephesians 5:27).
Jesus is expecting to find fruit in us because if it does not happen to us as in the parable “and if it bears fruit, fine; If not, you will cut it off later ”(Luke 13: 9). It is necessary to bear fruit in the church, since Psalm 1: 3 says: “… it yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not fall; And whatever he does shall prosper".
