Erwin Barth. Pinguine

I found this fountain at the Boxhagener Platz in Berlin Friedrichshain a few years ago and simply had to take a picture. Penguins are my most favorite animals and therefore I can seldom walk past pictures or sculptures of penguins without taking a photo.

Why do I love them so much? Because I really think they are awesome animals. They may not look like much, but they are tough as stone and masters of survival. Compared to other birds, penguins with their tiny wings and short legs almost look as if something went wrong in their evolutionary process. But if you ever had the pleasure to seeing them swim and dive you really get to appreciate their "design". So, yep, penguins are a bunch of amazing creatures.
