Uganda’s flag was adopted on October 9th, 1962, and contains six horizontal bands of black, yellow, and red. There is a white circle in the middle that provides a symbol for Uganda’s national bird, the East African crested crane.
The black color represents Africans, the yellow the shining sun, and red the African brotherhood. It’s a unique and distinct flag that shows Uganda’s philosophy.
Now, will you be able to recognize the Ugandan flag?
See you next time!
