Daily blog 5/1/2017: Don't do Pump and Dumps UPDATE!

DAMAGE CONTROL!!! Regardless, you should not even do Pump and Dumps! If you get burned 50% of your investment, why even try to do it again?

its 5/2 when I'm writing this, but whatever. It's gonna be full of grammatical issues but this is my first entry. Usually this would be somewhat an insight to my life, but usually about crypto and whats going around. So yeah, let me start off by saying "HELLO" and thats pretty much it.

Went on a pump and dump discord today, listen here kids "Don't do pump and dumps!", I basically got burned. The admins in that discord scheduled a "Pump and dump" around 1-2 pm PST, around 40+ were participating. Quick reminder to those who don't know what "Pump and Dumps" are, its basically picking a coin that maybe valuable to other people and putting funds into that coin in hoping to cash out when it spikes up, this is obviously frowned upon by the cryptocurrency community because its scamming other people. We all thought we would get easy cash this way, but due to the sheer incompetence of the fucking admins, pretty much we all got burned. We had started to vote on what "Shitcoin" to vote on so we can pump it and get easy gainz. Looking good right? Nope, the results for the poll was public, so easy to rig.... so once the results were public alot of people went to start pumping the highest voted coin, even when the voting time isn't over yet. So everyone in the discord started to complain, admins try to deflect and I was having trouble putting my BTC into Bittrex (dont send using lowest fee). If you guys were wondering what Coin was rigged in the voting, it was "OMNI".

After the shitstorm that was the polling, the admins had the greatest idea of picking the 2nd most voted coin "PTC". Many things wrong with this one, no volume and by looking at the coin it was basically dead, and a couple hours prior a very suspicious looking spike occurred a while ago. My $10 worth of BTC enters Bittrex and its time to pump the fuck out of that coin. So far it looked great, getting 100+ gainz... until a sudden SELL order happened and pretty much killed the momentum.... I was suddenly -50% down and was very unmotivated to keep trading for the rest of the day. Sucked alot of ass, and everyone was complaining to the admins in the discord for a disorganized attempt at a pump and dump. Of course this started the accusation to the admins of just rigging it, and it was all a scam. The admins soon after purging messages that made them look bad, and banned people who accused them. :thinking face:

So yeah if you ever get a discord invite to a channel called "CryptoBrokerage" just tell them to fuck off.
I was already broke anyways, so I only spent around $10 (fuck coinbase fees).
