I watched her as she carefully climbed the stairs to her room. She had her left hand supporting her tilted back and the right hand on the walls, taking each step at a time. I wish I could laugh but that was no time for amusement.

She was 7 months pregnant.

After a while, there were volumes of thoughts running through my mind. She was careful and took each step at a time. So supposing the building was a 10 storey building and her apartment was on the top most part of the building which has no elevator, she would have to do this from the ground floor through to the last floor, Which was quite a tedious work for a non- pregnant me.

To cap her plight this would have been done for nine solid months, wow. I did a little research on pregnancy, and how it affects the personality of the pregnant individual.

From the search I learnt that there could be mood swings, sudden change in diet, craving for unimaginable things; In Ghana I have seen people crave for dust because of pregnancy, in some cases the individual gets swollen up, bed ridden, gets irritated for something funny, easily angered etc.,

I mean these were things that changed the personality of the pregnant individual totally.
And these individuals accept these changes in their system all in the name of a baby in the womb. They do not care what becomes of them as long as their babies are healthy in their wombs, there has even been cases where mothers loose their lives for the babies during child birth, that is such a wonderful lesson we can all learn from pregnancy.

The bible says that for the joy that was set before HIM, CHRIST endured till the end.

The fulfilment of your purpose in life demands your life. Your purpose in this life at a point will cause you to be weak, at some other point it will cause you to swollen up like in some pregnant women.

The force of your purpose may cause you to crave for a food you practically detest, clothes you might not look good in, and the likes.

But the points here is;

Are you ready to accept this challenge of life?
Are you ready to overcome these odds and go for the goal of fulfilling your purpose and not just your dreams?
Are you ready to give birth to that GOD given purpose of your life?

The road to the fulfilment is not a linear one
Neither is it a smooth one
Had it being so mothers wouldn’t be going through all that body changes just to bring a new life into this world.

The good news here is that no matter the circumstance, CHRIST is still in the boat and you will surely be at the shore.

Like the pregnant lady be careful and take each step at a time. No situation is permanent they say, after nine months the pregnant woman wouldn’t have to hold her waist and the walls for support before climbing the stairs to her apartment.

Who knows ? maybe what you carry in your womb which is your purpose might not only profit you and your family but the world at large like the baby JESUS.

Take time and nature what you carry , don’t be worried when you get changed in the process because the purpose calls for these changes. For example the boobs of a mother gets bigger during and after pregnancy because it contains food for the new born after birth.

Every single individual has a purpose on earth if you don’t know your purpose on earth then its time to get pregnant with your purpose, go before your maker and enquire his reason or purpose for you on planet earth, and start preparing for delivery.

Lets make the world a better place to live.
