One step closer
I heard back from my interview!
I got a call back from the job I applied to. We are on to the next round! They invited me to come over for a couple of hours to check out the work and see if it's a good fit. So, that'll happen next week. Exciting, huh?
I'm still a little bummed out by having to work fridays, but I don't want to miss out on a good opportunity for it, so I'll just have to suck it up and make it clear I want to switch days if that ever becomes an option.
This is the first time for me that something like a trial run happens before getting the job. I say trial run for lack of a better word, because it'll mostly be them showing me what I'll be working with. I think it's a good way to check out the work beforehand, so it's actually pretty nice.
Aside from this, I also went to check out another job opportunity on monday evening. Hubby drove us over and we got to talk to people there about various job openings. The job seemed nice and so did the future co-workers, but the location is a bit too far away for me to drive. I've made that mistake before and don't want to do it again. Aside from that, they also use the open office concept, which I will never ever want to be a part of. That alone makes me refuse to apply. So that one was a no for me.
I'm not going to look for something else for now. I want that trial run thingy done first and see where that goes. Hubby and I are pretty excited to be able to just carpool together and maybe have a few date nights in the city while we're both there for work.
Wish me luck!
