Balance and consistency, I need to learn how to practice them. This post hits home for me. Thank you!

These facts have been haunting me for so long, I'm definitely bad at balance lately :D

I love the word "consistency"

If I push too much in the beginning I'm certainly quitting after a couple of weeks, but if I restrain myself and try to do within my means I will probably stick with it.

Thank you @najada for your comment...

I've realized for quite a while that the most successful social media accounts post simple content on a daily (or for youtube, weekly) basis. It's been difficult to accept, because I always want to create my very best, and I just don't have that amount of time.

Balance is so hard to achieve :D

Yes, I think that's the key: to find our balance, the point where we are comfortable with that relationship between the quality and the time invested.

The problem with perfectionism is that it's a great excuse to not finish something. Better 7 and alive that 9 and dead :P

Soooo true... and maybe it was good for me to have somewhat of a strong start (more content)... but it's time to 'budget' my energy XD

Perfectionism, I've heard, is rooted in fear. And that makes sense... it's not beneficial to constantly obsess over details!

Yes, I was thinking about it. For example with a blog all the content you create gets embedded and continues to receive visits and even grows over time, but on social networks like this content is disposable, so it doesn't pay as much to invest in creating as for a blog?

And I've realized at the end only we the authors care that much about details, but readers focus more on what they get from it as a whole.

Also, are you familiar with #minnowsupportproject - to help new users get followers and connections - this might be a way to get more 'traffic' to your blog posts.

Thanks! I need to learn more about a lot of things around here ;)

Even 4 -5 new friends can make a difference, so I hope you'll check it out. You also have an interesting blog, so you already have an advantage in my opinion.

I invented a new word a week or so back when I was feeling especially pissy.

Frusteemed: the feeling one has when his/her posts routinely pass into the blockchain netherworld unnoticed and unappreciated.

I was terribly frusteemed a little while back, but I found that taking a weekend hiatus allowed me to reset my brain and calm down on the whole "must make money" negative way of thinking. I'm good now. :)

I figure if I can provide valuable posts within an hour's worth of effort, it's not so bad... I also can't help but to think that some of my favourite whales are enjoying the summer heat and not upvoting as much XD

Glad to have you back and less frusteemed. Don't be too tough on yourself!

It takes me an hour just to format!! Ha!

I'm pokey too! But maybe not that pokey ;D

muy buen post hermano!

Thank you so much for your comment @awpmaster! Great nice guy!

avoid the fake news. do your own research.

That's why they're called "presstitutes"

lol shhh. the liberals might down vote your post.

I'm more of an anarchist though... so it's probably statists that would target me.
