the most dangerous type of ransomware

in #blog7 years ago

Ransomware is a type of malicious software from cryptovirology that threatens to publish the victim's data or perpetually block access to it unless a ransom is paid. While some simple ransomware may lock the system in a way which is not difficult for a knowledgeable person to reverse, more advanced malware uses a technique called cryptoviral extortion, in which it encrypts the victim's files, making them inaccessible, and demands a ransom payment to decrypt them.[1][2][3][4] In a properly implemented cryptoviral extortion attack, recovering the files without the decryption key is an intractable problem – and difficult to trace digital currencies such as Ukash and Bitcoin are used for the ransoms, making tracing and prosecuting the perpetrators difficult.

Ransomware attacks are typically carried out using a Trojan that is disguised as a legitimate file that the user is tricked into downloading or opening when it arrives as an email attachment. However, one high-profile example, the "WannaCry worm", traveled automatically between computers without user interaction.

  • Locky

Ransomware this one is known first time in February 2016. Locky is known to attack the target via email invoicedengan title "Invoice J-00". This Ransomware will outwit the target by saying if the email recipient can not see the invoice sent. If you follow and click on the linked ransomware in the link, then automatically ransomware will start attacking the target device.

The latest version of ransomware is said to be very smart. Not easily detected using ordinary antivirus files or any other manual way. Be careful if you are attacked by this one ransomware yes!

  • Cerber

Ransomware one is very dangerous because it is easily disseminated, even by people who do not work as a hacker once. This way ransomware works virtually nasty through links like Locky link. Then the second is to provide an unsubscribe link that if in-click will make your device attacked.

Once attacked, Ceber is reported to have hosted nearly 400 file types on the device and locked them so that you can not access them again. Just like WannaCry, Ceber will ask for ransom up to 500 US dollars or about 6.6 million rupiah. If you do not obey the ransom, then forever you can not use your perngkat again. Horrified yes!

  • CryptoWall

Unlike the two ransomware above, CryptoWall is not attacked through phishing techniques or links. But through the passing ads on popular sites like Facebook. If you click on this malicious ad, ransomware will enter your device via the% APPDATA% folder.

Ransomware will start scanning the hard disk and will lock the alias encrypting your important files on the hard disk. CryptoWall is very dangerous as well as being able to attack devices running 32 bit or 64 bit systems.

  • TeslaCrypt

The next dangerous Ransomware is TeslaCrypt. Ransomware is claimed to attack using AES encryption method to block user access to personal information on devices such as photos, documents and other files. Ransomware is reportedly also interested in video game files such as Minecraft, World of Warcraft, StarCraft, RPG Maker and Steam.

Just like WannaCry, this TeslaCrypt ransomware also requests ransom to the target within an average payout period of 3 days. Ransom can be paid via PayPal, credit card and BitCoin. Especially in PayPal, usually the ransom money will be 2 times more expensive.

That's the guys, the four most dangerous ransomware in the world that when it's attacked your device will make panic deh. Actually there are many more dangerous ransomware in the world, you must be careful if there are dangerous and foreign links that appear in the email or come to your device. Mending pairs of anti-virus system deh on your device and never nge-click files or links not clear that come to the email or site you're visiting.
