What I learned by painting walls for the first time in my life.
I just spent the last 2 days painting a room for the first time in my life.
Here are some feelings, things I learnt, thoughts about time, work, meditation and money.

Pre-production is a must:
If you organized well doing the work gets faster and easier.
It makes no sense to open the tint pack if you still didn’t cover the floor with journal and the corners of doors with tapes.
Some things have to be done in the right order to work well
You got to wait for the paint to dry to be able to analyze if you did a good work
PATIENCE!
When I first looked at the wall on the first day it felt like it was horrible
Full of stains and definitely BAD
I went to sleep and next morning after drying it looked amazing
When it comes to money and time:
Of course, it takes a lot of time and hard work to paint a room (imagina a whole house!)
We spent a bit less than 200 $BRL in materials and did it all ourselves.
It took around 12h or more. (In 3 days)
I could possibly pay someone to do it for less than what I value as my ideal hourly payment. BUT: it wouldn’t be so fun and I wouldn’t have had this nice experience!
Totally worth it!
It was super physical!
We just got to summer in Rio. It’s around 40 celsius outdoor.
Experiment painting walls, of course it’s way easier than lifting but you move a lot the shoulders and arms!
Definitely better than working at the computer!
It’s really meditative!
“Before enlightment: chop wood, paint walls. After enlightment: chop wood, paint walls”
It’s good renewing the colors and the atmosphere for the summer.
We use this spare room as a training space when there are no friends around to stay.
It’ll be great to have it refreshed and renewed!
I didn’t even know the difference about water based paint and other kind of paints
It’s amazing that there’s always something new to learn on ALL AREAS.
Life is amazing folks
Remember to add some color!
