Liverpool Update 05-21-2018: Champions League Final Preview
The Champions League Final, between Liverpool and Real Madrid, will commence this coming Saturday, May 26th, at 1:45pm Central Time (2:45pm EDT). The match is hosted in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, and will be televised globally on FOX.
Liverpool enter the game as the perceived underdog, with Los Blancos winning the past two Champions Leagues while maintaining most of their stable of seasoned players.
To quote Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp, “Yes, Real Madrid are more experienced,” said Klopp. “They are the highest quality. They can make it three in a row, but we are Liverpool. That’s something not to forget, and we feel that.” (1)
According to FiveThirtyEight, a well respected sports’ stats and predictions website, Madrid are slightly favored in the CL Final with a 53% chance to win, as of May 21st at 11:44am EDT. (2)
