Some of these deaths are so ridiculous and ironic, you may not even believe that they could possibly be true! Let me assure you, however, these are all real events that took place and these people really did meet these terrible fates.

1. Shock of his life

In 1980 a 21-year-old South Carolina man, Michael Anderson Sloan (also known as the 'Pussy Destroyer'), was charged with the murder of Mary Elizabeth Royem, 24. The body of Miss Royem was found in her West Columbia apartment, and she had been raped and brutally beaten to death with an Iron.

Sloan – who also used the name Michael Anderson Godwin – was on work release from prison for robbing a woman at knifepoint in 1977. in 1981, he went on trial and was convicted of murder and sexual assault and sentenced to death by electric chair.

This sentence, however, was commuted to life imprisonment after he was cleared of sexual assault charges in 1983. It would seem however, that the electric​ chair was in fact, Slones destiny as a few years later, in 1989, he died by electrocution whilst sat on a metal toilet, attempting to repair his TV.

2. Watery grave

in 1985, Jerome Moody attended a pool party in New Orleans in celebration of an incident-free summer season without any drownings.

At the end of the party, he was found fully dressed at the deep end of the pool. It is still unknown to this day how he drowned despite there being 4 lifeguards on duty, and 100 off-duty lifeguards present at the party.

3. The smashing finale

Garry Hoy, a Lawyer for Holden Day Wilson was leading a group of prospective law students around the Toronto-Dominion Centre. It has six towers and a pavilion covered in bronze-tinted glass and black painted steel. It serves as the global headquarters of the Toronto-Dominion Bank.

Hoy, who had shown around​ countless numbers of students, wanted to show them that the glass was unbreakable, and to display this, promptly threw himself against the window. The window did not smash, however, it did pop out of the frame, and he tumbled 24 floors to his death.
