Anna Renee Todd was born on March 21, 1989.
She is the New York Times and #1 internationally best selling author of the After series.

Growing Up

Anna Todd was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio.

She spent her whole childhood there and attended the same school district her entire life.
She found her love of reading early. Some of her early favourites were novels like Babysitter's club, The Goosebumps books and by the time she became a teenager she was in love with classic literature.

Her Love Story

She met her husband when she was in high school and they got married a month after she graduated high school.

After spending a few years in Austin, they decided to move to LA where they currently live.

Becoming A Writer

She found Wattpad through reading fanfiction and from the second she laid her eyes on the platform, she fell down the rabbit hole (lol)
According to her, it was a place she couldn't have dreamed existed with people just like her. An entire world of people who read and write on the internet.

People writing in the hours off of work, school, parenting, life, and she loved every second of it. and when she wrote, she wrote some more, she couldn't stop.
Over 1million words came from her fingers into the first novel she had ever written.

Making It To Print

The After series had hundreds of millions of reads after almost a year.
After working on Wattpad and talking about her dreams of becoming a publisher, they worked together to get a traditional publisher so her online readers could actually see her books in prints.

Through this process, she met her editor Adam Wilson from Gallery books, an imprint of Simon and Schuster.
She met other publishers but she and Adam clicked immediately. He didn't only help with her words, he also helped her fully embrace the evolving world of traditional publishing. And for this, Adam Wilson, phenomenal blog gives you accolades.

Two years later and the After series has been translated into over 30 languages.

What Comes Next

After is becoming a Movie!
(Phenomenal blog is also anticipating After Movie, we've waited four(4) years for this :) )

She was confused and excited to be approached about making a Movie out of her words and characters. With Wattpad, Howie Sanders and UTA's passion and guidance, she got a deal with Paramount Pictures and Jen Gibgot.

           After currently has over 1billion reads online. Some of Anna Todd's novels include: The Spring Girls, The Brightest Stars, Imagines, Nothing More.
