Drink "Raw" Water!!! (NOT)

Yesterday was Tide Pods, today it is water

What could possibly be wrogn with water? Take two Hydrogen molecules and add an Oxygen molecule and you suddenly have a basic neccessity for life. Why could this possibly be bad?

Despite what all conventional science advises, the free market has provided an alternative proposal to the question that never had really ben asked in a serious marketplace of ideas: what kind of water should I drink?Rather than drinking water purified, people have started a trend of drinking water RAW.

Who is leading this movement?

Though right-wing snake oil's salesman, Alex Jones, is not leading the movement to drink unfiltered water, his trending segment on "water turning frogs gay" has started a major conversation among conspiracy groups that has lead towards the high demand for unclean water. Sources of this water typically includes rain, ground, or untreated wells.

Just as the increase of concerns within conspiracy groups drove demand of unfiltered "raw" water, the increase of demand has driven an extreme increase in price. A typical 2.5 gallon jug of unfiltered water costed New York residents $39.99 but sold out stores have marked up the price to $69.99. This has led to maufacturers of the dangerous water to issue supply warnings to stores accross the nation. Several health groups including the CDC ahve issued statements warning consumers of the health risks associated with drinking the water.

Bitconnect

First out of the woodworks is the @craig-grant favorite, Bitconnect. Many steemit users were drawn to this platform after seeing his paid YouTube advertising about Bitconnect and he has recently seen many of his posts demonitized after the recent cease and desist letters for the scamming company. As of now, he refuses to mention Bitconnect and his comments section is filled with demands for him to address his promises that it wasn't a scam.

I have to give @ahmadmanga for calling this one in the comments section of a post where I introduced the service. There isn't much to talk about it. It was a cloud mining service that offered a small amount of hash to start with. I used the hash to grow the account freely but I never had the opportunity to withdraw. I even set up 18 subsidiary accounts. :shrug:

Bitpay Steals Money

Bitpay is a popular bitcoin debit card that has heft registration fees outstanding the advertised $9.99. I paid nearly $40 for the registration fee and was denied for not providing enough bitcoin for the card. I then went through months of emailing support and even speaking with executives where each time I was explained, "mining fees were too much and they can't be refunded for being below the minimum refund limit". I noticed their social media accoutns were riddled with comments of similar experiences.

Other complaints came from users that did overpay for their cards. They explained that they had waited months for a card with absolute no show. If anyone has started a class action or is interested in startign one against the company, I welcome you to invite me. I will happily join.

I don't really have much to say on this except that it is unfortunate that steemit will likely face another series of flags here and there. Just sit back, grab some popcorn, and try not to get caught in the cross fire.
