Smartphone sales decline for the first time in the world In the last quarter of the year, smartphones were sold less in the market.

Gartner has been monitoring the global smartphone market since 2004, research and consultancy firm. Since that year, the sales of smartphones have been increasing or stabilizing every year. Worldwide smartphones have been sold the most, in the fourth quarter of 2016, about 432 million units were sold. But in the fourth quarter of 2017, smartphone sold in the world is just around 408 million units That means smartphone sales fell 5.6 percent.

Gartner mentions two things about reducing the sale of smartphones. Firstly, leaving the feature phone is slow to use the smartphone. Secondly, people have been using their current smartphone for a long time. Although these are theoretical but after 14 years of the advent of the smartphone, everyone now really wants to have a smartphone.

Selling for the first time in smartphone history is very surprising. Since the era of smartphones now Nowadays, compared to the previous smartphones, there are more advantages.

However, all the results of the fourth quarter are not frustrating. According to Gartner, Samsung's market share has increased from 17.8 percent to 18.2 percent, which has risen from competing Apple to Samsung. However, Gartner did not report the results obtained from notable manufacturers such as LG, Lenovo, HTC, Sony, Vanplas, Essential or even Google in their report. These are included in the 'Other' category together.
