Bodyguard: the new British series that is causing furor

in #blog6 years ago (edited)

Hello steemians friends in this opportunity I want to talk to you about a British series that I saw these days, called Bodyguard.

The series is about David Budd, a war veteran, and his work as Julia Montague's bodyguard, a powerful and ambitious policy that works as an interior minister.

I must confess that the first episode did not catch me, it was full of tension and emotion but I felt that it was exaggerated and I would not like it, but I gave it a second chance and it was worth it.

These characters, the interior minister and Sergeant Budd interpreted by Keeley Hawes and Richard Madden respectively, do it in a really incredible way that feels a great chemistry (not necessarily sexual) between them.

The series is focused on the fight against terrorism and as the government wants to implement measures that invade privacy in order to maintain order, it also addresses corruption and political conspiracies.

One issue that I really like about the series is that it gives women important roles, starting with the interior minister and we would also have the head of the national police.

The direction was also remarkable, always focusing on the tension between the characters and with good plot twists, as well as giving us incredible scenes like those filmed in Battersea and Whittington Estate in London.

Thanks for the review. I didn't finish the first episode, but came back to the series eventually, and then ended up binge-watching it. Richard Madden was also in an episode of Electric Dreams that I recently watched.

Forgot to add that it was on amazon prime. This is the trailer to the episode he is in:

Thanks for the recommendation, I probably see that episode where Richard Madden appears :D
