Australia Day - Fernie, BC 2018
Hi there Steem friends! Following on from my last post about the beauty of this place that I currently call home, we had a great chance to celebrate my national day in Fernie earlier this year. Australia Day 2018!
Australians love snow (despite being surrounded by beaches), and they also love to drink, so Australia Day in a ski town is generally a great day for all directly or indirectly involved! There are those of us who did seasons in Japan who told us that the Japanese government issues a statement to locals instructing them to stay indoors on Australia Day, due to the high instance of public drunkiness and the like. Hilarity generally ensues!
This year, we were also gifted with a thick, deep and unrelenting powder day for our troubles. The snow didnt stop, and neither did the fun! Enjoy!
