Random Pics: Back to Cleveland
Well now that the holidays are over it's time to get back to posting random pics of Cleveland...
The Lake, The Boat, The Museum
One of the best aspects of the fair city of Cleveland is its proximity to Lake Erie. Being a harbor city definitely helped spur this area into the 19th and 20th century. Struggling a little too adapt to the 21at century, lake Erie is still an attractive piece of Cleveland's backdrop for commerce and leisure.
Off to the left in the pic is the William G Mather Steamship. Once hailed as "The Ship that Built Cleveland", it now resides in pier 32 right downtown. Several organizations and volunteers are responsible for making this retired vessel a part of the city's landscape.
Off to the right is the Great Lakes Science Center. I wish I could give a testimonial about how cool that place is but unfortunately I've never been in there. Perhaps in a couple years when the kids can enjoy it a little more.
