The computer game - Warcraft

Hi, today I bring you my post about a video game called "Warcraft¨, I hope you like it and play it. 

This was one of the first games launched in the market of the RTS type, which means real time strategy.

The company Blizzard Entertainment, formerly called Chaos Studios and already had a list of successful games for which it had even won the previous year the "Best software developer of the year" was the developer and distributor, counting in the second with Interplay Entertainment and going out to the public in mid-1994.

 The plot was developed in a medieval epic environment where humans who inhabited the kingdom of Azeroth faced the invasion of fantastic creatures commanded by the orcs.

The player could choose which side to belong to, in such a way that he could be human or orc and for 12 scenarios, different according to the campaign he chose, he had to go arming strategies and obtaining resources to advance in the goal of achieving victory. Among those resources and objects of the game stood out the units with skills to fight and the buildings to train.

 

 

        -It had two game modes, the one-player campaign, in which a story was told and the elements of the game were shown and the competition was multiplayer and in which a single battle was planned in the open with all the resources available on a map, but also the player could choose to start dabbling inside a dungeon.

This game created a world of its own in which each player was assimilated and transformed into their own, a true legion of humans that from the monitor screen took over the story that was being expanded over the years and that not only stayed in a video game but also in many different articles and media such as role books and novels, board games, advertising articles, action figures and others, also in May 2016 a movie called Warcraft the origin was released.

The initial game and we talked about was titled: "Warcraft: Orcs & Humans" and it was only available for DOS, and Mac; in the first, it was controlled by a keyboard and in the other by a mouse.

Venía en 4 disquetes y también en CD, los gráficos tenían una resolución de 320x200, podía ser jugado a través de modem o null-modem, el sonido y los efectos eran buenos para la época. El jugador podía crear y editar tus propios mapas.

Tuvo sus secuelas posteriores, y también sus expansiones. A partir del número II fue compatible con Windows.

Este juego inició un verdadero culto que aún se mantiene e impactó en los jóvenes y no tanto desde su aparición.
