When I met a Russian Women

What you’ve probably encountered is the icy facade that most Russian women put up. There’s a number of reasons for this. Sometimes it’s simply that our English level isn’t perfect, #and that makes us seem curt. At others, it’s because people believe the unfortunate stereotype of Russian women as beautiful and willing brides for foreign men - and trust me, we see right through that. Not cool.

Mostly though, it’s because we’re very pragmatic and rational. Comes with the (cold) territory. We may seem direct and to the point - but I truly believe that’s a good thing.

You see, in this world where everyone strives to put on a happy face, Russians buck the trend. We don’t do fake niceties. When we smile, you’ll know it’s the real deal - that you have broken through a sheen of ice and reached the warm and burning core that is our hearts.

That, I think, is a rare treasure.

Oh, and just to make things crystal clear - this is a Russian thing, not a woman thing. Just try hitting on a Russian man in a bar, and tell me how that goes.
