UNTIL HERE, IT CERTAINLY LOOKS LIKE A ROCKET.
*when this event actually happened in Los Angeles area, I came across these photos on twitter; on the day this event happened, which were later deleted. And not found again.

ON THE SAME DAY, EVERY BODY SAW IT FROM DIFFERENT STATES. Some said they even saw it in Boulder, Colorado.
HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?

it all looks spectacular as a picture but sorry to say this is nothing more than a terrestrial missile or projectile.
Weather measuring devices shot up into cloud systems can look like this often. The lack of expected orange flames is because they do not always depend on petroleum or combustion propellant. There are many ingenious methods and civilian style rockets, projectiles launched that can look identical!
yeah that missle launch reference video looks pretty identical can't deny that one
