I have only been 32 days with steemit.com and today I would like to share things that I'm able to understand in this steeming community.

1. Author rewards

• We get rewarded by posting but this reward will be divided into 2 part which is 75% for the author and another 25% for the curator.
• Write a post that you yourself would like to read( not too long and not too short).
• Keep a gap of 5 hours above to let others read your post because if you post too many things in a short time.. other won't be able to catch up.

2. How to get curation rewards

• curation reward is the 25% from the earnings of the post we upvoted.
• To get the 25% of the curation rewards, we are suppose to upvote a post after it is being posted for more than 30 minutes. Voting a post before it reach the 30 minutes posting time means we get less or none of the curation rewards. Voting directly means we get 0% and voting 15 minutes after a post means we only get half of the curations rewards.
• Where did all the 25% or what left of it go?*
  It goes to the author

3. How to get curation rewards from giving comments or reply?

• We need to give a comment with good quality which can help to increase the popularity of the post we upvoted. A good quality comment or replies can help the author to gain popularity for his or her post. If our comment or replies got upvoted by others because of its quality then we can get curations rewards.
  Remember that anything that we do in steemit will use more of our bandwith and if we finished up all our bandwith, we won't be able to do anything while waiting for it to recharge.

4. Why does when we upvote for a post our upvote has no value?

• For newbies, we can only upvote when our voting power is 100% and for starting our vote only value $0.01. If we have already vote we have to wait for another 2 hours until our voting power is 100% again. Always make sure that voting power is 100% before voting because if not our voting have no value.*

5. What to do when we upvote but our upvote has no value?

• Downvote : No need to.
• The post we voted when our vote has no value will get our $0.01 before the 7 days wait end as long as we are willing to wait for a day without upvoting. (We can still give comment or replies though)
• On the next day, once our vote started to gain its value of $0.01 again... Make sure to wait until our voting power is 100% again before putting on the next upvote. The wait is usually 2 hours but sometimes it can add up to 3 hours if we post a blog after voting.
