Women Empowerment Music Night with Steem-music @ Liberal Latte

You wouldn't believe the many times it took us to reach this place. Last night, @perennial and @calebleejl hosted a music night where @perennial was sharing his legal expertise on women and custody rights. I was there!

It was a last minute decision actually to come to the event as my younger brother's girlfriend's mother was coming over the same day to spent time with the family. The event also took place pretty late at night (yes, 8 pm is considered quite late) and I was sure my mom wouldn't really approve I went alone driving at night to a place quite far from my residence...so I dragged along my younger brother!

We arrived pretty late...like 8:30 pm ish but the event didn't start yet.

@perennial giving his talk about his experience in the legal system. I feel lucky that I had to take a class last semester on Media Law, which had an introductory chapter to the Malaysian Legal System, so a lot of the info he presented made sense in relation to that.

You can tell the crowd was listening quite intently to the topic. Everyone was quite focused as the talks progressed. Kind of wished it lasted a bit longer so that we could take in that information is really process it internally.

These two sequence of photos of myself, @ziqman, and @gordon92 (also the blur of my younger brother behind Gordon) watching made me laugh when it reminded me of a very familiar scene from my childhood.

I personally love Simon Cowell.

But the night went on. It ended with a pretty energetic vibe, with some singing. It was pretty cool. Everyone in the earlier shy crowd eventually got in on it.
