Christmas illuminations in Warsaw [ENG/POL]
Yesterday we went with friends to the old town in Warsaw, because we heard that there are Christmas illuminations and we have never seen them, despite the fact that we live in Warsaw for several years.
Wczoraj byliśmy ze znajomymi pochodzić po starym mieście w Warszawie, bo słyszeliśmy, że są iluminacje świąteczne a nigdy w sumie ich nie widzieliśmy, mimo, że w Warszawie mieszkamy kilka lat.
I was surprised that on Saturday there are so many people in the subway at the Świętokrzyska station and the New World Station. When we left the subway, it turned out that there are many more people outside and even the main street is blocked for cars.
Byłem zdziwiony, że w sobotę tyle ludzi jest w metrze na stacji świętokrzyska czy nowy świat. Jak wyszliśmy z metra, okazało się, że na zewnątrz jest znacznie więcej ludzi i nawet jest zablokowana główna ulica dla samochodów.
After a while, we saw a bright street and many more people. Lights were hanging on virtually every tree, it looked great.
Po chwili ukazała nam się oświetlona aleja i jeszcze więcej ludzi. Światła są zawieszone na praktycznie każdym drzewie, efekt na żywo jest rewelacyjny.
I was most impressed by the Presidential Palace. The whole building was lightened with blue light and also there was a Christmas tree with was lightened with white and red - colors of the Polish flag. It looks great on a photo but it's even impressive in the real life.
Największe wrażenie na mnie zrobiło oświetlenie Pałacu Prezydenckiego. Cały został starannie podświetlony niebieskim światłem a choinka na jego terenie była w barwach flagi narodowej. Na zdjęciu to wygląda super, a na żywo jeszcze lepiej.
At the end of our trip, we arrived to the Royal Castle where there was a big Christmas tree. It is so big that it's hard to catch it on photo. People were taking photos in the background of the base which was pretty high and lightened very well.
Na koniec dotarliśmy pod Zamek Królewski gdzie jest postawiona gigantyczna choinka. Jest tak duża, że ciężko ją złapać aparatem. Ludzie sobie robili zdjęcia jedynie na tle podstawy, która jest bardzo wysoka i dobrze oświetlona.
