The world can be a dark place. Although humans are capable of doing great good in the world, it cannot be forgotten just how cruel and callous we can be to each other. We are also victims of tragic circumstances, more than we realize until we force ourselves to explore the darkness that exists in our world. Death, destruction, mayhem, and tragedy are very real aspects of the human experience. YouTube creator Horror Stories has spent the past 3 years collecting and presenting some of the darkest and most disturbing events of our time. At the time of this writing, Horror Stories has uploaded a collection of over 120 videos where he discusses everything from unexplained disappearances, to grotesque freak accidents, to unbelievable acts of violence perpetrated by humans against their fellow man. Despite this, YouTube has refused to allow monetization for most of his videos for unknown reasons.

Among his most popular videos are topics such as the death of cave explorer John Jones, the death of diver Yuri Lipski, and the death of Mary T. Wojtyla who was recorded walking into a speeding train. Another notable video is The Story Of The Columbine High School Massacre, which has a length of over 48 minutes. In this video, Horror Stories provides his own take on the event. This video is so well-researched and informative that it has led to some of his viewers declaring it as one of, if not THE best video on the subject. Other videos cover the murder of Pantera guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell, the Lake Bodom murders, the Station Nightclub fire, the Twilight Zone: The Movie helicopter accident, and Peter Scully - the demented creator of "Daisy's Destruction", one of the most horrific and widely circulated child sexual abuse videos.
