Scotch Bonnet Red Pepper Easy Sauce Recipe

Today I'm making some homemade extra hot and spicy chilli sauce because my mom had so many fresh chillies freshly picked from her garden.
They said this is also one of the hottest chilli. 😱 My mom called this ghost chilli🌶️🌶️🌶️
It's sounds like the spiciness of the chilli will hunt you. 🤣🤣🤣
But actually it's no joke.
It's quite spicy if you blend it because it emits that super spicy gas from it.

You can read more info about it here:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scotch_bonnet

Ingredients:

-scotch bonnet red chillies
-lime
-garlic
-bunga kantan(etlingera elatior)
-apple cider
-organic brown sugar

1st step is to squeeze out all the lime juice & removed all the seeds.

Then it's time to put on some plastic gloves for protection before handling the chillies.
Always safety 1st😉
Because you are going to definitely regret it if you only use your bare hands.

It's time to removed the chillies seeds and also skinned the garlic and bunga kantan.

After that put everything into your blender's container.

And blend it until it turns into a smooth paste.

Which looks like this. Then pour in the lime juice and blend again for another time.

You will get a smooth texture of it.
After that i add in some apple cider and also some organic brown sugar to taste.
It's up to your preference.

Warning :If you want to taste it make sure you ready some milk if you are not a chilli eater. 🤣🔥🔥🔥Don't say i didn't warn you.

I actually tasted it without the need of drinking milk after that. 🤣
Yes it's really really a bomb! 🤤🔥🌶️

So it's all done!
Bottle it up and put it in the fridge.
So there you go an easy homemade hot & spicy chilli sauce made with love! 💕

Guess what, the aftermath of making this sauce.
My whole hands are feeling that burnt from the spiciness level of the chillies.
😱

Imagine how spicy it is when the chilli vapor actually can get through the plastic gloves.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Can't wait to paired it with other dishes!

Cheers!
@gracefu

Wishing you all a Happy Wesak Day!

My husband loves these chilli peppers and I can't even smell them, lol :D They are so strong! I am sure he would love to try this sauce but then I would not be able to enter the apartment because of the smell :D

Maybe I would try it with something lighter first as your recipe looks very good!

Thank you for sharing and have a lovely Tuesday!

Wow..seems like ur husband love spicy food too.. He should try this recipe.
Plus he can store it in the fridge too for a month of usage. He only needs to blend it once. Actually it smells good too after mixing with other ingredients.

Yeah.. Or maybe you can cut down on the chilli peppers and add more of the other ingredients. So that it won't be too strong for u. 😉

Thanks for dropping by.
Happy Tuesday too!
Have a great ahead 😊

Scotch Bonnet peppers are not ghost peppers. Ghost Peppers are WAY hotter.

The Ghost Pepper is more elongated, and around 1 million on the Scoville scale for hotness. Scotch Bonnets are around 80k to 400k, so at their hottest, less than half as hot as a ghost pepper, and can be as little as less than a 1/10th as hot.

I like extremely hot things. When I want something spicy, I'll use 1 or 2 scotch bonnets in my personal serving of food, or maybe 3 or 4 jalapenos, but that's more of a flavorful hotness. I however, would not be caught dead eating a ghost pepper, because I might literally die, or at least suffer greatly. A single ghost pepper is used for a large cauldron of spicy food. You also might suffer greatly just trying to cut it, even if wearing gloves. In contrast, I never wear gloves to cut scotch bonnets or jalapenos or thai chilies or anything else like that.

Ah i see.. Interesting..Learned something today from u @grekpowered.
Will removed the ghost chilli name from my post. Over here i don't know why most of the people called it ghost chilli.
Alot didn't know what it's actually called. 😂
Then i looked up in google and found it's actually name scotch bonnet peppers.
How did u actually handle scotch bonnets or jalapenos or thai chillies?

Anyway thanks for sharing a good info to me😊

You build up a tolerance. And learn to not touch your eyes. :P

🤣🤣🤣Oh yeah.. I can say u have hands of steel.. Haha.. Even after i wash with soap the spiciness gas is still staying on my skin. 😂😂😂

This sauce sounds tasty. I have made sauces with habaneros (similar to, but less hot than scotch bonnets) before but I may have to try this one. I might throw a ghost pepper into the mix if I decide I am in the mood for more heat, which happens fairly regularly.

Yea..its actually tasty. If you don't want it to be too spicy you can actually can add less of the scotch bonnets. Let it be more diluted.😋
That's nice. Hehe good luck in trying this recipe. 😉
