That Campus Life

The campus is a world entirely different from home,where your loved ones surround you to attend to all tour needs
At home,you balance your diet, sleep well,wake up at any time that pleases you and walk to your parents to collect money any time you need it. On Campus,especially when you are far from your peeps, you have to struggle to survive.
As a matter of fact, life on campus could be cruel to a new student. And it takes time to adapt.
The amenities in most schools are nothing to write about. Electricity and water supply are never adequate in most of our campuses,which explains why students at times go on rampage to register their grievances.
Most Nigerians universities cannot cater sufficiently for their students and to a large extent,students have to arrange their own private accomadations in the towns and villages where such institutions are located.
Most of these houses are nothing to write home about. Some do not even have bathroom or toilet. In some cases,you have to learn how to throw what is popularly known as 'short put.'
On Campus,you are bound to meet different kinds of people - the good,the bad, the humble,the arrogant and so on. It's up to you to choose the kind you prefer.
While you cannot but need the assistance of old students, it's instructive to note that some of them belong to cult groups.Immediately you discover this,abstain from him or her to avoid being initiated. They may decide to threaten you,beat you up ,seize your things or even use abusive words against you,just stand by your decision and never feel intimidated. With time,they will let you be.
Another challenge you will likely encounter on campus is the new teaching method,which is going to be quite different from the way you were taught in the primary or secondary school.What they do at the higher level is to lecture you by giving you the basic things and materials you need while recommencing textbooks and other publications. The rest is up to you.
For a lazy student,this is likely to be a bit difficult,which is why many students record carryovers at the end of the day. Therefore,you are expected to work hard.
The advantage is that you have started living on your own as you experience freedom for the first time.The experience could make or mar you. But to succeed,the most important thing is to always to remember the son or daughter of whom you are.
