Back On Steemit

It's been about a year since I last posted here, and what a year it's been.

To begin with, around this time last year, I was in a rollover accident in my Jeep:

I dislocated some of my ribs, which still haven't gone back where they're supposed to be. I did go to the ER after the accident, and the doctor said they would, but apparently he was wrong. Even though I was working at the time, I couldn't afford insurance, so I haven't been back to the doctor.

I struggled with depression for a bit after that. That's the sad part of the story.

In better news, although I lost my "day job" during the pandemic, I've managed to stay afloat through the plague. I also got a side gig doing some political/news writing, and I've actually started another account here to help promote the independent stuff I'm doing in that area: @nivekbr - you can also see most of my work on my Medium page.

I'm still doing music too, of course, and I'll try to get around to posting some of my newer stuff soon. In the meantime, you can check out my website to see the latest news on what I've been up to on that front. The main Fugue State Audio site is down, but the Skin Contact site is still up, and that's where most of the action has been.

That's the quick version of what's been going on here, I'd love to hear what's been going on around these parts if anyone's still around and reading this, or even if we don't know each other. :)
