Making it count Day 7
This is a series of blog posts where I keep myself accountable to my goals and post wins / fails of the day.

One week already.
Making 1 post related to my gaosl per day already feels less like a chore and more like a thing that's just part of the routine.
It's hard because you have to be brutally honest.
It's hard because you see your mistakes and your excuses for what they are at the end of the day.
But it's also fuel for action and pushing things forward.
I know I have to sit down in the evening and report back on my goals and take an objective look on my day.

After writing I see my rationalized reasons for making excuses for what they are: excuses.
Not actual things that are physically holding me back from doing and accomplishing stuff.
And seeing that is liberating.
Liberating because I see who is the only and biggest obstacle between me and my goals: Myself, my conditioning and my excuses.

I will continue to use these daily posts to take an objective look at my day, set goals and document the steps i take on a daily basis to achieve them.

I will also introduce a massive amount of self love and compassion for myself.
After my meditation retreat I often tried to do compassion meditation: to cultivate compassion, love, joy, peace and harmony for others and myself.
I got comfortable trying to cultivate these things for others.
But I still lack the patience and macro level perspective that self love and compassion for myself will yield the best long term results for myself too.
Because once you accept your faults, your actions, your shortcomings, your past and all other things that bother you, you enter a state of carefree presence, of unfiltered action that is not triggered by ego or illwill, but by compassion and joy of the present moment.
This is the modus operandi I want to be in, as closely as 24/7 as possible.
I've seen this carefree and accepting presence within myself, especially during and shortly after retreat.
In these times, my outer circumstances were exactly the same, but my subjective experience of the world around me was completely different.
Will continue to write about these experiences sometimes soon, because it still feels awkward and not logical to explain it to people, especially to those who have never meditated or experienced any altered states within themselves.
So: to be continued.

Before we got into the daily actions I took today, here a beautiful song I found today while studying and listening to a youtube playlist:

Kind of reminds me of Imogen Heap - Hide and seek
