🔥 White Hat, Black Hat & Gray Hat Hackers 💻🏆
Welcome everyone, I want to talk about the main and biggest categories about hackers. Then we will review other subcategories.
We'll start by first defining what a hacker is
A hacker is mainly a person who penetrates computer networks and information systems (applications) with the objective of proving to himself their skills, sometimes to show with pride, his intellectual abilities in the use of technology, programming or networks, in the one that they pursue to achieve a specific objective with their innate capabilities of hacking, either to "do good, or do evil".
But it is good to remember that the terms hacker and cracker have different meanings, since while the first alludes to that person capable of introducing himself in other people's computer systems, the second one refers to another person who does it for illicit purposes.
Now, the categories of hackers (or cracker) you should know:
White hat hackers:
This term refers to computer security experts who specialize in performing penetration tests in order to ensure that the information systems and data networks of companies. These hackers when they find a vulnerability immediately communicate with the network administrator to communicate the situation with the goal of being resolved as soon as possible.

Safety is a vital part of any company, so this topic deserves attention. Such is the case of Facebook, which in 2013 was hacked by Jack Whitton, who found a vulnerability that gave the attacker the ability to get full access to someone else's account.
Black Hat Hackers:
This term is often used specifically for hackers who infiltrate networks and computers for malicious purposes. Black hat hackers continue to technologically beat white hats. They often manage to find the path of least resistance, either due to human error or laziness, or with a new type of attack.
The difference of a white hat hacker, the black hat hacker takes advantage of vulnerabilities in order to destroy or steal information. The term comes from old Western movies, where heroes often wore white hats and "bad guys" wore black hats.

Gray Hat Hackers:
The Gray Hat Hackers or Gray Hat Hackers are the ones who play at being the good guys and the bad guys, in other words, they have ambiguous ethics. They have the knowledge of a Black Hat Hacker and use it to penetrate systems and search for vulnerabilities and then offer their services to repair them under contract.
However, by publicizing a vulnerability, the gray hat may give other crackers the opportunity to exploit it. This differs from the white hat who alerts system owners and vendors of a vulnerability without actually exploiting it in public.
Their ambiguity is that they sell the information they have obtained, but they do it for the public's sake. Although there are governments that pay for these data and hacking tools and do not use them to plug security holes, but in their favor to spy on enemy powers.
