Personal sovereignty and autonomy is not allowed under state rules. Why? It simply does away with their authority and any 'need' for them.

Imagine the implications if everyone were to do the same? An end to centralised government and the rule of enforceable law.

The old model desperately needs a reboot. We are still living by a model/paradigm that has not been updated since at least Egyptian times. The problem is .... it no longer works.
