On August 9, 1991, the space mission STS-43 was in development, and it was when the four space shuttle Atlantis crew members, used for this mission, had the honor of carrying out a historical fact not very well known. To carry out this mission AppleLink was used, the online service that Apple provides to its distributors, users, and third-party developers. And it was thanks to the help of an Apple engineer and NASA technicians that the event could be carried out. The message sent through this email was:
"Hello Earth! Greetings from the STS-43 team. It is the first AppleLink in space. Having great time, We wish you were here ... send Cryo and RCS! See you, Baby, ... we'll be back! "
The goal could be accomplished successfully, and was part of a group of missions to investigate and conduct short-term scientific experiments.
