What is the Essence of Christmas for You?
People just know expending too much when the upcoming Christmas begins. They will start to buy new things for Christmas and they will prepare for what outfit they will attire for the event. Preparing for party schedules and other stuff. But we forget what truly is the essence of Christmas.
In our daily traditions, we don’t notice that we lack to anticipate the birth of Christ. Do we celebrate his birthday? Or do we ever find ourselves a gift for Him? In his day that He is born, did we offer him the time to solemn His special day? How can we offer our love for Him? This is the questions that we must realize.
Christmas teaches us expending too much, but in contrast to Jesus life when He was born, He teaches us to be humble and be contented of what we have. He was born in a place in a stable, where donkeys and other animals are kept. He may be pronounced as the Prince of Peace but His simple life the inspiration to seek humbleness and contentment. We must learn to economize what we have and never regret of all the cost we purchase until the end of December.
In finding a gift for Him. It is not material or donations for the Church. It is what in your heart desires of good will. Jesus always wanted us to love one another as Christ us loves us. So, if you ever had a conflict with your mother, father, brother, sister or any person that connects to your life. Forgive them with all your heart. Don’t lead it after the end of the year. This will be your gift for Him. For Christ is so merciful. And He always wanted to teach us to forgive or release our anger with our enemies or friends and bless them to be a good person.
And lastly, we must participate the mass in our church and spread the love in every person that we encounter. Especially those in are needs. This is not that I force you to go to church. It is up to you if you will change your thoughts and be a good Christian. But I encourage you to strengthen your faith in God. Even we have our shortcomings in Jesus. Even we have many barriers to worship God. Especially there are many evil spirits that will motivate you to keep out of the way with God. You must fight for it. And win Christ not by mammon or material things.
I hope that the wrong teachings will change our minds to turn into a responsible Christian. Have a blessed Merry Christmas this 2017 and a Joyous Happy New year in advance.
