Camera Club Group Shoot BTS
I organize outings sometimes with local models and photographers. This was our most recent trip, up to the top of Howth Hill, through the forest and scrub. Terrific fun.
We had to get up early because it gets very dark, very early during the Irish winter. Everyone in great spirits though. This is a social thing as much as it is about photography. Many of us know each other through local Facebook groups for creatives. Rebecca our brunette model studies multimedia so loves to get involved with the creative process.
No MUAs, No concept. There is as much time spent talking trash and joking around as there is making photos, but everyone learns something or makes a valuable new contact. We stopped along the trek for some shots in the forest.
Then onwards to the summit. This kit gets heavy. One of the lads brought about 6 lenses. He won't be doing that again.
This camera belongs to "Lone Tree". She's new to photography but making tons of progress. She's like Irelands answer to Brooke Shaden. That's the plan anyway.
The peak has a unique landscape all of its own. Huge grey rocks and peppered with gorse and heather, overlooking Dublin Bay, it's worth the trek for the views alone.
But time flies when you're having fun. It turns 3pm and we know we better get moving because it would be dangerous to descend to the village in the dark. We pack up and make our way. And sure anyway, it's about time for a pint.
