My apology for the typo @sultnpapper - further proof that age takes it's toll...that's my excuse and I'll stick to it! ;)
They were/are known as Brownies in the UK, if I have it right. The way I have it, that empire started gaining momentum under Elizabeth the 1st in the 16th century.
I got you now, and typos are a way of life for me as well. I will also use the age excuse if you don't mind sharing it.
I've been living in denial of the calendar for decades and it kinda worked. Reality has a way of dawning on a person though...
I hope sharing will make the burden lighter.

I have an advantage , I only get a birthday every four years, so I just count my birthdays if I start feeling older.
