Why I Do Not Blog Every Day - Blog 25/30

in #blog7 years ago

In brief, in my opinion, one hour a day is not enough to write a good blog post. I came to this after more than 3 weeks of writing. And to the fact that I can not and I do not want to spend more time on it.

It's hard for me to admit it.

A few weeks ago I wrote about the challenge that I take part. It was about doing something and sharing it for 30 days every day. In my case, it was about writing posts for Steemit. I wrote about it earlier, that this is my first blog in my life and for the first time I am sharing my everyday thoughts on the Internet.

I really liked it but there are a few but...

I think that I have enough thoughts and I would like to write more refined posts and about a specific content. I do not want it to sound as an excuse, but at this point, I want to concentrate 100% on programming learning and finding my first job as a software developer. When writing these last posts, I often did not have time to dedicate a moment to learning for a while, so I decided to change the form of this blog a bit.

Done is better than perfect.

Yes, I know that now it turns out that I do not stick to the above quote, about which I wrote in one of the first posts. But this is not the case. Well, in my case, it seems to me that creating one or two posts a week calmly in which I really pass the value in the way that suits me, is more important than blogging every day.

I will blog twice a week.

After today's MiroBurn vlog, I am even more convinced that I want to keep this blog to be valuable and spend the right amount of time over every post I am putting in here. I do not care about perfection but I want to make each post full of content. Unfortunately, I'm not able to do it every day, because sometimes one hour is not enough to put into words what I have to say and make a blog post. Therefore, already after 24 days of blogging, I decided that I would not do it every day.

I will blog most likely on Mondays and Thursdays.

The initial plan, for now, is that, one post about learning Python programming and what I managed to do on this topic over the last week. The second post will be an entry on any topic, just like before, my thoughts about life. About what interests me and what I would like to tell you. Such division will give me a bit more time to improve my posts. Thanks to this, I will also have more time for programming, which is now my priority. I'm in the process of doing my portfolio on GitHub and looking for my first job. And from what I know is still a lot of work in front of me.

Returning to everyday blogging.

I think that I have learned a lot during these 24 days, especially about myself and about the fact that I like writing as a form of communication. Therefore, today I know that I will back to write my blog every day and share my quick thoughts with you. However, this will be when I am already a programmer and I will not want to devote every free moment to work with the code. Because I will do it at work.
By the way, I've also found quite an interesting post about why everyday blogging does not necessarily have to be good for everyone.

Let me know what you think about this change? Is it enough two times a week or should I try to write every day? I have already chosen but I am very interested in your opinion. Take care!
